Circle Island 2017 - Combining Circular & Social Economy to create Societal Value(s)

The purpose of this projectphase of the concept Circle Island is to evaluate and develop a collaborationmodel that connects the entrepreneurs and companies in the industrial area in the center of the Gothenburg harbour area called Ringön, who has need for more people, with the groups that has a hard time finding a job. We are combining our experiences from Bergsjön with the relatively nearby industrial site of Ringön where we have a uniquely large number of SMEs on a small area working with recycling, renovation, repairing and so on.
We hope the concept will develop the collaboration in a frugal and effective way where the companies can find their future empoyees in a less timeconsuming way and the participants will have the opportunity to find out about their potential among the variation of tasks that is available. The collaboration and shared values among the partners creates conditions for exchange of experiences and participants in an innovative way which is allready the foundation for extended collaboration in the future. |

This phase is a project in close collaboration with Sustainability Consultant Christer Owe who also fascilitated the recent feasability study on Ringön. It does also involve companies at Ringön and other partners and it's partly financed by
